KSP Life Science Campus Winter Street Waltham

Project Overview
This project is one of many projects KEG has worked with King Street Properties of Cambridge MA. King Street Properties’ mission is to provide space solutions to companies such as pharmaceutical and bio-tech firms developing lifesaving drugs, makers of medical devices and diagnostic tools, and clean tech companies harnessing renewable materials and energy sources.

The Winter Street campus includes a 181,000 sf and 140,000 sf building joined by a building connector to form state of the art modern life science building with an adjacent parking structure.

The development creates a campus like facility where life science companies can collaborate and thrive. The property has topographic challenges and rises approximately 100’ making the site design more complex. Design of the stormwater system was complicated by the project proximity to the Cambridge Reservoir.

KEG led all aspects of the site design and permitting for the project. We provided Land Surveying services from base boundary and survey through ALTA plans, construction surveying and as built services. We provided engineering design services from preliminary planning through definitive site design, construction observations and final sign offs. We provided permitting services including preparation of applications and attendance at hearings. The project involved a complex permitting process.
