Markman School

Project Overview
KEG has worked with many projects for non-profit facilities. In this case KEG worked with Dacon Construction in a design build project for the Markman Schools of Attleborough for their new 14,000 SF facility. Markman School Age Enrichment Program is an accredited child care facility that offers services designed for pre-kindergarten and school-age children. A subsequent second phase was also constructed.

KEG led all aspects of the site design and permitting for the project including coordinating topographic and property line surveys; provided civil/site design including site layout, grading, and utilities, onsite sewage disposal; coordinated transportation planning; prepared all permit applications; coordinated with the Town representatives; and represented the project through the public hearing process.

The project involved complicated local permitting. Local permitting included Planning Board and conservation commission permits. The project was complicated by its location on a busy street and by its proximity to residential neighbors.
